The Lakefront 158, a new commercial block developed by SIP-based real estate conglomerate Hengtai Holding, was opened on Aug 31, becoming a new landmark of SIP.

The project, located at the heart of the west bank of Jinji Lake, is a commercial block like Boxpark which features shops and cafes housed in brightly colored refitted shipping containers. It boasts well-proportioned structures and outdoor seating areas, hosting diverse businesses including cafes, dessert shops, upscale casual dining restaurants, unique bars, stores selling intangible cultural heritage-inspired products and trendy sports venues. The “block of boxes” attracted lots of visitors soon after its opening.

The POP MART Robo Shop here is eye-catching. It is an unmanned shop offering popular trendy toys. The 6.5-meter-high giant Labubu (POP MART’s signature toy) container and Jinji Lake jointly create a striking visual contrast.
