SIP’s Yangchenghu Peninsula Tourist Resort has innovatively devised a variety of celebrations for the Spring Festival which, reckoned on the first day of the first month on the Chinese lunar calendar, will fall on Feb 17 this year.

A highlight is the romantic fireworks shows at Suzhou Yangcheng Peninsula Theme Park and several hotels between Feb 15 and 17.

At Suzhou Yangcheng Peninsula Theme Park, visitors can also interact with 100 NPCs (non-player characters), watch breathtaking motor vehicle shows, and enjoy the immersive live-action show “The Return of Zhuangyuan”.

Suzhou Village will host dragon and lion dances along with parade and gift-giving activities.

The Archaeological Site Park of Caoxieshan will offer visitors chances to experience ancient culinary traditions and play interesting games.

At Ui ART Center, the Immersive Art Exhibition of Matisse themed “Calmness after Wildness” and the “A Grain of Wheat: The 1980s Contemporary Art Memorial Exhibition” are underway. Visitors can also partake in activities tailored for the Spring Festival.

Other activities include the DIY activity at Suzhou Toy Museum where participants can use Perler Beads to create beautiful patterns, temple fair and bazaars at Longfor Suzhou Paradise Walk, and the theme market and DIY activities at a number of hotels.

Visitors can also enjoy delicious food from all over the world, such as dishes cooked with ingredients from Yangcheng Lake, specialties of different provinces of China, and signature dishes of Vietnam and other countries.

Moreover, the resort recommends three travel routes to visitors during the Spring Festival holiday— a three-day parent-child travel route, a two-day dating route, and a one-day sports route.
