The 2026 Suzhou Dushu Lake Sci-Edu Innovation District Spring Awakening Carnival, themed “Wonderful Spring with You”, opened at a cherry-flanked avenue in the district on Apr 1. The event was completely free and open to all with no reservation required, drawing large crowds of participants.

The carnival started with a vibrant performance of traditional Chinese lion dance, where powerful drumbeats and agile lion moves ignited the atmosphere.

Set against the stunning backdrop of spring blossoms by the lake, the event featured three themed photo spots: a pathway scattered with fallen petals, a flower wall bursting with romantic ambiance, and a “praise mirror” conveying warmth. Every snapshot looked like a springtime masterpiece, quickly going viral on social media platforms.

The Spring Market brought together 18 vendors offering creative handcrafted products, local snacks, health services, and spring-themed tea.

A robot dance performance wowed the audience with its tech-driven precision and cool moves. Meanwhile, student clubs from universities delivered energetic dances, radiating vitality and youthful spirit.
