Suzhou Yuanju Medical Technology Co Ltd in SIP is racing against time to push forward the experiment on an innovative drug developed by a research team at Nanjing Medical University (NMU) for functional recovery after stroke, aiming to commercialize this research outcome as soon as possible.

With the support from the National University Biotechnology Regional Transfer and Transformation Center (Suzhou, Jiangsu), the company and the NMU signed a RMB50 million patent transfer agreement concerning the new drug last November.

The research was led by Prof. Li Fei, dean of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the School of Pharmacy of NMU. The new drug has demonstrated excellent performance in inhibiting inflammatory effects and easing neuropathic pain for functional recovery after stroke.
