The Au Nom Del’amitie Sino-Francaise 2025 Suzhou Symphony Orchestra Concert, scheduled at Suzhou Jinji Lake Concert Hall in SIP on Oct 17 as part of the 2025 Suzhou Jinji Lake China-France Culture and Art Week is designed to offer the audiences a chance to savor the charm of French music.

The open rehearsal on Oct 15 offered many music enthusiasts a rare glimpse into the preparations for the concert.

Led by French conductor Victor Jacob, who was in his first collaboration with the Suzhou Symphony Orchestra, the musicians performed “Ibéria” from the “Images for Orchestra” by French composer Claude Debussy, demonstrating meticulous preparations.

“There are often open rehearsals in SIP. They reveal how a concert takes shape. The facilities and culture here are exceptional, contributing to world-class performances,” said Mr. Liu, a local resident.
