Following an intense qualifying round, the 2025 ATP Challenger Tour ― Suzhou Open, an ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) CH75 professional men’s tennis event, launched its main draw at the Sungent International Tennis Center in SIP on Oct 20.
The tournament has attracted nearly 70 elite male players competing in about 80 singles and doubles matches over the week, vying for crucial ATP ranking points and prize money.

As a key event in the ATP Challenger circuit, the Suzhou Open features a strong lineup of international contenders and promising local talents. Hong Kong’s Coleman Wong stands out as a major attraction, while Chinese prodigy Jerry Shang joins the doubles fray. With home favorites like Sun Fajing also in the mix, the Chinese team is positioned for a collective breakthrough on the home court.

The opening day saw fierce competitions, highlighted by a grueling battle where Japan’s Yusuke Takahashi ultimately outlasted Uzbekistan’s Sergey Fomin after multiple deuces.


The doubles final is scheduled for Saturday (Oct 25), and the much-anticipated singles championship is set to crown a winner on Sunday (Oct 26).
