The Department of Industry and Information Technology of East China’s Jiangsu province recently released the list of Jiangsu-based enterprises that have passed the 2025 “little giant” evaluation led by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China for public consultation. On the list are 71 enterprises in SIP.
SIP is now home to 220 “little giants”, which refer to the elites of small and medium-sized enterprises that use special and sophisticated technologies to produce novel and unique products. It ranks first among the country’s economic and technological development zones in terms of the increase and total number of “little giants”, living up to its reputation as a cradle for such enterprises.

Among the enterprises on the latest list are many engaged in high-end manufacturing, biomedicine, integrated circuits, new materials and other leading and emerging industries, demonstrating SIP’s far-sighted industrial layout.

Most importantly, SIP has made great efforts to support specialized and sophisticated SMEs, including implementing a three-year action plan to cultivate such enterprises and offering them tailored support in financing, recruitment, partnering and other aspects.
